Feed My Starving Children

Last Saturday our family had the opportunity to make meals for others for a change. I really wanted my children to have a glimpse of how blessed that we truly are not only in our family, but living here in the U.S. where we ask “what” should we eat vs. “will” we eat. This organization provides meals to over 70 countries. In 2 short hours, our group make enough meals to feed 19,000 people. We had so much fun but most of all, the experience that our family had was priceless!!

Kindergarden here I come!!!

Well, my baby boy is growing up and last week he graduated from Peace Lutheran Preschool. This is a day I have been dreading for months now. Where does the time go? One minute you are comforting a coliky baby, potty training, and thinking about where you might want to put yur child into preschool – and literally the next minute, he is registered for kindergarden and graduating from preschool!!! I cried for many weeks in anticipation of the event and actually held it together rather well during the actual event! Trevor is sooo ready for school – he is a bright and down right hysterical kid who amazes me every day. I am so blessed to have 2 beautiful kids who I couldn’t imagine my life without. As a very wise person once said, “In this life pain and suffering will come, whining about it is optional.”  Never take single moment for granted, each day is truly a gift from above!

Happy Easter!!

We had such a great weekend! It started off with an Egg Hunt in our neighborhood and a visit from the Easter bunny. It took no time for Trevor to notice that there was a man in that suit and that this Easter bunny wasn’t real! He must have thought that it was a fill in for the real bunny who was busy gathering all those eggs for Easter morning! But, even if he had found our the “truth” about the bunny, both our kids know that Easter is not about bunnies and eggs, but about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ! The bunny just helps us to celebrate. Happy Easter to everyone!

United Soccer Tournament

Angels Win!! In an exciting 3 game tournament, Madison’s team won the championship!! It was so exciting and I swear my blood pressure had to be through the roof! Thanks to my wonderful husband who is the best coach ever! Trevor’s team, the Sparkey’s, played amazingly well in the tournament and both kids received medals which they wore proudly!

Daddy/Daughter Dance at CCV

This year’s theme was “I am your biggest FAN!” (Hence the fan’s the girls are holding!!) Ryan and Madison had such a great time spending time together and cuttin’ some rug! They went with some of their friends and had a blast. Madison is truly blessed to have the best daddy in the whole world! While they were on a “date”, Trevor and I deceided to have our very own date too. While I was getting Madison ready, I noticed that Trevor had gone into his room and shut the door. A few moments later, out he came all “dressed”up! He had changed into his fancy clothes (mismatched nylon sweat pantswith a long sleeve buttin up collered shirt, and a Diamondbacks jacket.) I could smell him long before I could see him! He told me that he used some of daddy’s handsome spray so he could be the “most” handsome for our date. I was in tears as I hugged my little boy who just wanted to do everything he could to look nice for me. Then, when we went to dinner, he insisted that he pay (with my debit card!) and then even wanted to sign the receipt so he wrote in huge letters “MOM".” SO CUTE! And then, as if that wasn’t enough, just before going to bed, he came around the corner with his CD player and had the song “Cinderella” all cued up and asked me if I wanted to dance. (Are there any dry eyes left??) This is a night that I will remember forever. Thank you Trevor for making our “date” so special. Someday, some girl will be so very lucky to have you…but for now, I am glad that I am the only girl you have eyes for!

Hello....are you still there??

Well I am back! I can't believe I have been out of the blogging world for 6 months! A combination of a full time mommy, wife, nurse .... and a really slow computer = blogging slacker! How do you catch up of all those lost months other than to say we have been so busy! To start, we are moving out of our house and are looking for another house. Stressful, as you can imagine, but oddly enough, we are actually happy and excited for the plans God has in store for us. The kids are great - Trevor is smart as a whip and lovong preschool. Madison is doing great back at Happy Valley Basic this year. We changed her schools in anticipation of the move and she can go there regardless of where we live. She is so darn smart and excelling in EVERY subject! She has already earned a "Yee-Haa" party with the principal and is in a challenge math group at school. So proud of her! Both kids are playing soccer and swimming - Ryan is actually Madison's soccer coach and is having such a great time. Madison is proving to be quite a miniature version of Ryan - so athletic at such an early age! Ryan is still teaching - ughhhhh! How that man puts up with what he does on a daily basis truly blows my mind! And me, I am enjoying every minute of watching my kids grow - I am the luciest woman in the world!! So, here are some random pics of the latest happenings!
